2021 Trick or Treat in Highland!

Date: Saturday, October 30th

Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm (last sign-up slot is at 1:30pm)

Starting Location/Check-In: Langford & Karls Chiropractic (730 Cleveland Ave S, St. Paul, MN 55116)

Event Details: Join the Highland Business Association, Highland District Council, Friends of Highland Arts, and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation for a Halloween event including trick-or-treating, a scavenger hunt, and fun prizes.

Suggested Donation: To support the production of this event and future community events and programming in Highland Park, we are putting forward a $5/person suggested donation to participate. After your registration (below) is complete, a payment link will be emailed to you. We will also be able to accept payment via cash, check, and card the day-of at check-in. If the suggested fee doesn't fit your budget, please still register and join us. While we are a small (but mighty!) association that relies on programming revenue to continue to serve the Highland Park community, we do not want to create a participation barrier for any families.

Trick-or-Treating: in order to maintain COVID-19 health and safety protocols based on CDC guidelines, we're sticking with the sign-up system we used for our 2020 event. Check-in will be in the parking lot of Langford & Karls Chiropractic. Businesses will have stations set up along a designated route through the Highland Village that will be staffed by employees/volunteers handing out candy and other items. All trick-or-treating/engagement stations will either be outdoors or inside businesses, following the respective businesses health and safety protocols. Every participating business has agreed to protocols based on current CDC guidelines to ensure a safe and limited contact trick-or-treating experience at their station.

Masking: in order to be in compliance with the policies of all participant businesses, all participants (adults and kids) are asked to bring a mask. We will have a limited supply of extra masks available at check-in. If any adult or kid participants have been exposed to COVID-19 or are showing symptoms of the virus, please do not attend.

*As mentioned, you must sign up to participate in trick-or-treating this year. You can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904054FABAE2FA1F85-2021 *

Scavenger Hunt: this year's trick-or-treating experience will also include a scavenger hunt hosted by Friends of Highland Arts. There will be Halloween themed icons along the way in the windows or attached to the stations of participating businesses. Each kid participant will receive a map/passport during check-in to self mark off at each stop. Those that complete the scavenger hunt can enter their completed passport at the end of the route for the chance to win some fun prizes!
