Community Development
Do you notice the appearance of the village? Then roll up your sleeves and join Community Development. Committee members maintain a clean village, plan and tend the flower planters, and keep the community kiosk at Ford & Cleveland current.
Promotions
Discovery is the codeword for our Promotions Committee. That's because we want shoppers to discover all the great businesses and organizations in HBA land. Two events not to be missed are Trick-or-Treat in Highland (Saturday, Oct. 28) and Holiday in Highland (Saturday, Dec. 2). The kids and their parents love these promotions — and they're fun for the businesses, too. If you like planning activities and promoting our HBA members, then this committee is for you.
Highland Fest
Here's a big-time life experience: plan an outdoor festival for 60,000 guests. The festival will last three days and feature an art fair, entertainment on two stages, a Ford vehicle show, fireworks, children's parade, children's activity area, food vendors, and more. It's a lot ... but, luckily, there's a committee of planners who've done this before! Does it sound interesting? Membership
The Membership Committee looks at ways to better serve the HBA's businesses and organizations. They've planned a full slate of business meetings through 2006. Meeting times will vary from morning to noon to evening. Committee members are also working on a new membership packet. They're looking at ideas like member discounts and health care benefits. Your input and suggestions are welcome. Why not bring them to a membership meeting?
